Former UN official calls upcoming climate report 'shocking'

Former UN official says climate report will shock nations into action

De Boer has been in talks with scientists for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Their fifth assessment report is due to be published in 2013. The Sydney Morning Herald reports:

Yvo de Boer, the UN climate chief during the 2009 Copenhagen climate change talks, said his conversations with scientists working on the next report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change suggested the findings would be shocking.

"That report is going to scare the wits out of everyone,'' Mr de Boer said in the only scheduled interview of his visit to Australia. "I'm confident those scientific findings will create new political momentum.''

The Kyoto Protocol, which called on countries to limit their greenhouse gas emissions, expires at the end of the year. The United States never ratified it, and Russia, Japan and Canada now say they won't recommit to it after its expiration.

  janforgo, ive read that al gore has billions to make off of the big green push he advacates. the problem i have with all of this green is when the european union wants you and i to live in a cubical the size of a standard appartment bed room, are the wealthy going to do the same . you know these people the globalists , builderburgs and the queen of england and many ,many others, are they going to make the sacrifice also . you can bet your sweet a$$ that they will still have all of their wealth and planes and 100 houses across the world. the wealthy want us you and i to make the sacrifices and they just keep getting more and more. look into the agenda 21 that is before our system and what the globalists want to do to the people like us.i agree that all of us must live more effecently . that doesent mean poorly. where will the raping of our nation and the world STOP??
